As
a life-long outdoor enthusiast, Michael Rudd, has spent over 20 years pushing
the boundaries of creating fine art with photographs of stunning landscapes, wildlife,
and nature.
His
career as a photographer and writer began in 1999 as the Features Editor for Four-Wheeler
Magazine and quickly established a niche in the industry by covering off-road
races (including the Baja 1000 and Malaysia Rainforest Challenge), overland expeditions,
and wild 4x4 adventures in some of the most remote places on earth.
Michael’s
exploits have taken him from the heights of Khardung La, India, the highest
motorable pass in the world at 17,582 feet, to the southernmost city on the
planet, Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego. He has driven in the most extreme conditions
on earth, including the frozen wastelands of Hekla Volcano in Iceland and the
treacherous ice road to Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories, Canada.
His
work has been published in OutdoorX4, Four-Wheeler, Expedition Portal, Rovers
North, Overland Journal, Truck Trends, 4x4 Asia, Hawaii and Nevada
Magazines.
Michael
resides in Colorado and Costa Rica with his wife Breck and they spend several
months each year exploring hard to reach destinations throughout the world in
efforts to capture unique and compelling fine art images.
